How to get the game

The game has officially been released in Australia, United States of America, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom & New Zealand. It can however be played from all countries.

Android

If you live in a country where the game has been officially released then you can download it from the Android Play store. Alternatively you could download the APK from APK Mirror. Please note that this comes with risks and is not supported by the game creators.

Supported Devices

  • Android 4.4 to Android 6.0.1
  • (Android N will not supported until the official Android release)
  • Preferred resolution of 720x1280 pixels (Not optimized for tablet)
  • Strong internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G)
  • GPS and Location Services
  • Intel CPUs are not supported


iPhone

If you live in a country where the game has been officially released then you can download it from the App Store. Alternatively you can create an Apple Account for a country where the game has been released. This will allow you to download the game through the legit App Store. See below for the instructions on how to do this.

  • iOS 8+
  • Strong internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G)
  • GPS and Location Services
  • Jailbroken devices are not supported

Log out of your current account

Open the App Store App

Scroll to the bottom

Click on 'Apple ID:....'

Create your Australian Apple account

Click on 'Sign in' Click on 'Create New Apple Id' Create an account with your country set to Australia. You can leave the Payment information blank

Download the game

Even though the App store might say you switched stores already, you can probably not find the Pokemon Go app. You will need to download a random free app on the Australian App store first.

You can now search for Pokemon Go and it will show up.
